Ohio's K-12 scholarships begin at kindergarten. Before that, Cincinnati has a levy-funded program of its own, and the state and counties add two more.

Is there free or low-cost preschool in Cincinnati?

For eligible families, yes. Inside the Cincinnati Public Schools district, Preschool Promise provides tuition assistance at ages 3 and 4 based on income, family size and program quality, and the Ohio Preschool Program funds preschool for households at or below 200% of poverty across the region.

What if we live in Mason, West Chester or Milford?

Preschool Promise is limited to CPS district residents, so families elsewhere in the four counties rely on the Ohio Preschool Program, publicly funded child care below 145% of poverty at entry, or the Child Care Choice Voucher between 145% and 200%.
