What tuition help does the Archdiocese of Cincinnati offer Catholic school families?
The Catholic Education Foundation for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati offers need-based tuition grants for students in preschool through 8th grade. Families apply through FACTS Grant and Aid, and that application is required to be considered. The foundation is also a certified Ohio SGO, so donors earn the state credit when they give.
The archdiocese's Catholic Schools Office oversees 111 schools serving more than 40,000 students across 19 counties, and parishes and high schools run their own aid on top of the foundation's grants.
When is the Catholic Education Foundation deadline?
For 2026-27 the foundation required families to complete FACTS Grant and Aid, with 2024 tax information, by February 28, 2026. The 2027-28 date had not been posted when we checked in October 2026; plan on late winter and watch your school's announcements.
What is CISE and which Cincinnati families does it help?
CISE, Catholic Inner-City Schools Education, is an archdiocesan office supporting 11 Catholic schools in some of Cincinnati's poorest neighborhoods and more than 2,500 children a year. It also helps graduates of CISE grade schools continue at an archdiocesan Catholic high school, and its fundraising arm, CISE-SGO, is on the Attorney General's 2026 list.
In what order do Cincinnati Catholic families use EdChoice and archdiocesan aid?
State money first. Archdiocesan schools hold Ohio charters, so the voucher normally lands before anything else; a foundation grant, a parish subsidy or a school's own SGO is then applied to what remains. In high school that remainder tends to be large, since tuition commonly exceeds the $8,408 award.
