Our Lady of the Visitation School (Cincinnati): EdChoice & Funding

About these records. Each school row joins the federal Private School Survey (NCES 2023-24, or 2021-22 when a school skipped the latest round) to Ohio's OEDS directory of chartered nonpublic schools and DEW's 2026-27 non-chartered list, both pulled October 28, 2026. A "chartered" school is the kind that can enroll EdChoice students; schools opt in to scholarship students separately, so confirm with the admissions office. Neither agency collects tuition.

Ask about Preschool Promise (CPS-district families), the Ohio Preschool Program and child care subsidy

Ohio's OEDS directory lists Our Lady of the Visitation School as a chartered nonpublic school (IRN 054585), which is the category of private school where EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion students enroll. In 2026-27 the scholarship pays up to $6,166 for grades K-8 toward tuition, sent straight to the school. Because each school decides whether to take scholarship students, check with admissions that it is enrolling them for your child's grade.

The school has a pre-K room, so ask whether it takes Cincinnati Preschool Promise tuition assistance (for families inside the CPS district), an Ohio Preschool Program grant or county child care subsidy. EdChoice starts at kindergarten.

For Catholic school families, the next layers after EdChoice are usually a Catholic Education Foundation grant (preschool through 8th grade, through FACTS Grant and Aid), parish or school aid, and, at high schools with their own fund, a school-specific SGO.
